According to a new documentary, former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez, who was serving a being sentence for murder when he committed suicide in prison in 2017, was hiding a secret.
The two-part Aaron Hernandez Uncovered, which aired on the Oxygen network on Saturday and Sunday, presented a number of people close to the former NFL celestial body who revealed Hernandez was a gay man. They also said his fight with his sexual self may have been the source of his stormy behavior.

The fiancée of late Novel England Patriots celestial body Aaron Hernandez says she saw no indication the football player was same-sex attracted, adding she would have accepted him regardless of his sexual orientation.
In the foreword for "Unnecessary Roughness," a manual written by Hernandez's defense attorney Jose Baez, Hernandez's fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, 29, addresses the speculation about the NFL player's sexuality and talks about the grief she felt learning of his advanced chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) after his death.
"I desire I had acknowledged how he felt, just so we could have talked about it. I wouldn't have disowned him. I would have been supportive," wrote Jenkins-Hernandez, who took Hernandez' last name before he died. They possess a daughter who is now 5 years old.

The fiancee of the tardy Aaron Hernandez is speaking out for the first period since the let go of a fresh Netflix docuseries on the life of the football-star turned-convicted killer, including rumors about his sexuality.
In a sit-down interview with ABC News' Amy Robach that will air Wednesday on "Good Morning America," Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez said that while Hernandez did not express to her in any way he may own been gay or bisexual, if he did, she "would not have loved him any differently."

I followed the Aaron Hernandez case about as closely as any NFL fan who wasn’t a Patriots fan. I knew the basics: he was convicted of murdering a next to friend and took his retain life in his prison cell a few days after existence acquitted in a separate trial for double homicide. Once he died, I stopped keeping up with new developments, and I sure as hell didn’t secure any insights from Boston sports talk radio, which distills all the racism and homophobia in Massachusetts into rage bait for the average Boston commuter.
That’s why it was surprising to view Ryan Murphy’s American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez focus so heavily on Hernandez’s sexuality. In the first two episodes, Hernandez (played by Josh Andrés Rivera) is depicted having secret sexual encounters with a high school crush, experiencing panic over his father or teammates finding out he’s gay, and having both online and real-life hookups while attending the University of Florida. There’s even a scene where he fantasizes about a naked teammate in the locker room.
