DC Comics decided to construct Twitter erupt by confirming Jon Kent (son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane) as bisexual. Of course, fans wondered what it would mean for the live-action Jon starring in The CW’s Superman and Louis TV series. From what I can tell, actor Jordan Elsass, who plays Jon, isn’t too keen on the idea. Not him panicking! Ha!

To be fair. I get that sometimes the actual context of what an actor says during interviews can be beaten when their words are typed out. We also can’t hear their tone or see their facial expressions. However, having said that, from what I could tell, Jordan Elsass would be quite content if his live-action portrayal of Jon Kent continues to remain straight.

Superman & Lois' LGBTQ Arc Gets Off to the Worst Achievable Start

WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Superman & Lois Season 2, Episode 2, "The Ties That Bind," now available on the CW.

Superman & Lois stunned fans by having Sarah (Inde Navarette) quickly end her romance with Jordan Kent (Alex Garfin) as Season 2 began. However, rather than kissing a guy at camp, Sarah admitted it was a female confidant. But while it's commendable for the show opening up an LGBTQ arc, it was the worst way possible to initiate it.

Now, Sarah's bisexuality is most welcomed as Smallville didn't tap on such diversity, not to mention in the comics, Jon Kent recently came out as bisexual. It helps up the visibility factor and overall sense of equality for those who want to see themselves on TV and the big screen, but the problem is Sarah's arc is treated like a throwaway incident rather than a watershed moment.

'Superman & Lois' celebrity leaves show after sharing that he is going to a facility to get 'mental health back on track'

"Superman & Lois" celebrity Jordan Elsass has left the display due to "personal reasons," according to a statement from Warner Bros. Television.

Elsass starred in the first two seasons of the CW superhero series as Superman's son, Jonathan Kent. However, in a statement to Deadline, Warner Bros. TV announced that the character will be recast for the third season of the show.

"Jordan Elsass has notified the Studio that he will not be returning to 'Superman & Lois' for season three due to personal reasons. The role of Jonathan Kent will be recast," the statement said.

Elsass has yet to comment publicly about why he is leaving the illustrate, however, many fans have pointed to a now-deleted Instagram post from June in which the actor revealed that he was struggling with his mental health and planned to check into a facility.
