Double Narcissi
Resembling Camellias and small Peonies, flashy Double Narcissi yield one or more flowers per stem. Each flower has multiple layers of petals or crowns, or both. With many of these showy varieties boasting a sweet fragrance, Double Narcissi are great for both the garden and slash flower arrangements. You may desire to offer these flamboyant gems a bit of protection from the wind. After it rains, the abundant flower surface can weigh the flowers down a bit. They are much loved for the fact that deer and rodents do not enjoy to eat them!

All Narcissi tolerate a wide range of sunlight from full sun to semi-shade. Varieties with pink cups should be grown in areas of filtered sunlight. Narcissi select well-draining soil, hate to receive wet feet and love to be fed with a 4-10-6 or 5-10-5 granular organic bloom bulb fertilizer three times a year. Allow the foliage to thrive and die back naturally without braiding or premature removal. DNII bulb size: 14/16 cm unless otherwise noted. Bloom period in horticultural zone 5: April/May. Plant 6" to 8" grave and 6" apart. Horticultural zones 3-8. Height: 14" to 18", depending upon variety.
