The Regression of Jordan Peterson, Dave Rubin, Thomas Sowell - Rebel Wisdom

Might be worthwhile to review definitions for the terms being bandied about, as it’s very easy for us to let our language languish into our own meanings.

And yes, I’m smiling when I notice JBP’s talks guide directly into each of these definitions.

The Green altitude began roughly 150 years ago, though it came into its fullest verbalization during the cultural revolution of the 1960s. Green worldviews are marked by pluralism, or the ability to notice that there are multiple ways of seeing reality. If orange sees universal truths (“All men are created equal”), green sees multiple universal truths—different universals for different cultures. Green ethics persist, and radically broaden, the movement to embrace all people. A green remark might read, “We hold these realities to be self-evident, that all people are created matching, regardless of race, gender, class….” Grassy ethics have given birth to the civil rights, feminist, and gay rights movements, as adv as environmentalism.

The lush worldview’s multiple perspectives give it room for greater sympathy, idealism, and involvement, in its strong

Memo to Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin: Mothers Are Irreplaceable

I had a hard time watching Jordan Peterson’s conversation with Dave Rubin about gay parenting and transgenderism. I’m deeply disappointed in them. I’ll carve right to the chase. These men claim to be opposed to transgenderism. However, in their defense of Dave Rubin’s decision to become a father by artificial means, they concede one of the most offensive premises of transgenderism. They evidently believe that with enough money, medical technology and legal support from the state, a bloke can do anything a woman can do. They are literally erasing women, while congratulating themselves on how thoughtful and profound and conservative they are.

I predict this cognitive dissonance will not last indefinitely. Within five years, Peterson and Rubin will repent: they will either repent of their opposition to transgenderism or they will repent of their support for gay parenting.

David Rubin and his “civilly married” partner, David Janet, want to become fathers. Rubin learned from his association with Jordan Peterson that parenthood is one of the keys to maturation and a fully actualized being.  But neither o

Why We Shouldn’t Celebrate Dave Rubin’s “pregnancy” Announcement

Hey everyone. Welcome to the Counsel of Trent Podcast. I’m your host, Catholic Answer’s Apologist and speaker, Trent Horn. Today, I want to chat about something I saw on social media related to the commenter Dave Rubin. So, Dave Rubin used to be a card-carrying liberal, if you will. He used to have a show or a segment on the Young Turks. So he used to be left or pretty far left politically; and then he kind of left that political view, and has become more libertarian. So a lot of conservatives have enjoyed finding common cause with him. He’s done these tours talking about, “Why I left the left,” for example. He’s done interviews on Matt Fradd’s present, a conversation with Bishop Barron. He seemed like a pleasant, affable guy. But recently, he made an announcement; and I was startled by how certain conservatives responded to it. So that’s what I want to talk about today.

Trent Horn:

Before I do that though, a huge thanks to everyone who’s been supporting the podcast. We got our new studio up. I want to populate it with a neat set; so if you want to help us to grow,
