Is guts gay
ok so i speak a lot about how gay berserk is but i tend to qualify that as my author is expired opinion regardless of miura’s intent which could be anything yadda yadda yadda, and like i exaggerate a lot too and deliberately find subtext that I don’t consider is intentional. and like eg when i wrote that big gay study I was v careful to state that I’m making no guesses or assumptions about Miura’s intentions.
but yk what i do have some thoughts on Miura’s intent, especially right now after seeing a scant ppl in succession complain about how berserk isn’t homosexual omg, so here’s what i genuinely believe. i’m not saying this is like, 100% inarguable truth lol, this is theorizing, but this is my earnest belief, enjoy, if you asked me my actual opinion on Miura’s intent wrt the gay content, this is it:
I believe Griffith is absolutely intented to be read as lgbtq+, or at the very least in love with and sexually attracted to Guts.
I also believe Serpico is intended to be peruse as gay for that matter though it’s much less relevant and I’m more tentative about this. Like I def get homosexual vibes from him and fully await him to never exhibit sexual interest in a female but I also wouldn’t be too surprised to b
Is Guts bisexual?

But did Guts like him back romanctically? Im quite bad at interprating romance. Also saw a lot of people online claiming that Guts is bisexual and liked Griffith.

Nothing in the manga supports that concept. Guts' feelings toward Griffith are clearly conveyed throughout the Golden Age as someone he greatly respects and even idealizes a bit, and with whom he develops a close friendship. In parallel, he progressively gets closer to Casca and eventually a true romance blooms between them. You know, generally-speaking, having block friends of the same gender doesn't mean you're gay or bi. And you really shouldn't rely on what random people are saying online to endeavor and understand the story.

the way Griffith acted towards Guts was like he was in love with him.

This statement is actually worth addressing more than the one above. Griffith's feelings towards Guts are ambiguous, and that's on purpose. I think boiling it down to "he must have been in love with him" is overly simplistic, and is doing you a disservice as far as your understandin
Here, you can clearly observe the bara Guts' man boobs jiggle as he lands on the ground.
This is a rather groundbreaking discovery.
Now I interrogate the heterosexuality of Berserk, and I must conclude that it is indeed quite gay -- not that there's anything wrong with that.
But it doesn't end there:
I realized that the sheer gayness of Berserk was in front of me the entire time. There are actually quite a few gay characters in Berserk. Here, I'll name some: Donovan, Gennon the Tudor Noble, and of course, the fan favorite: Griffith! Berserk is actually quite a diverse series when it comes to lgbtq+ sexuality. Even Guts might be bi, to be honest; that scene of him playing with a naked Griffith and tossing fluid on one another must have gotten Guts quite wet, if you grasp what I mean.

Hooo boy. Where to even begin?
- Guts and Griffith are the first to come to intellect, as they have some seriously suggestive subtext going on, and fans can describe the whole story post-Golden Age as the aftermath of a particularly brutal breakup.
- Griffith's penchant for declaiming long, soulful speeches to Guts while completely naked for no real reason is probably a good place to start. Or just relies on the phrase, "Naked water fight."
- After they meet, Griffith mentions to Guts that he wants him to join his mercenary group because he thinks Guts fighting is "magnificent" and he thinks Guts is "fascinating" and says "I find you much to my liking." While this occurs the same music that plays when Guts and Casca made love starts playing.
- Not to mention how he frequently reminds Guts, "You are mine."
- The whole duel between him and Guts before Guts left has Griffith acting like he was entity rejected by his significant other, and reacting like a possessive Yandere about it. In fact, during Griffith's Ho Yay-tastic fight with Guts before Guts left the Band of the Hawk, Griffith is shown having thoughts of If I
