Desi arnaz gay
We are excited to share a extraordinary event celebrating the legacy of Desi Arnaz, the Cuban-American actor, musician, and television pioneer. On Tuesday, the Metropolis of Miami Beach will unveil a State of Florida Historical Marker in honor of Arnaz’s remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry and his impact on our collective. The unveiling ceremony will take place in Collins Park at 4pm.
Best known for his role in the iconic television entertainment I Love Lucy, Arnaz was also a groundbreaking producer and co-founder of Desilu Productions, a company that revolutionized television. His impact extended far beyond the screen, and his ties to Miami Beach are an important part of our city’s rich cultural heritage.
In January, Miami Blueprint Preservation League’s Art Deco Weekend hosted Gary McKechnie for a talk entitled: Miami’s Desi Arnaz: Achieving the American Dream. McKechnie is the driving compel behind the historical marker initiative. You can view the video from the lecture here:

Do you think Desi Arnaz was hot?
The stories about the last days of their marriage I have read before. The quotes are pretty much strict. I think a part of WHY Lucy "lost her looks" (she didn't, really, she just didn't look Elated in her middle years and the years hung on her face more heavily) but that she became poisoned from the inside out over her the way Desi treated her. Yes, she got some wrinkles and sags but happy people have some sort of "glow" or energy from the inside out that can help them look prettier in middle age. Healther. Comfortable in their own skin. Gracie Allen had that "look." She and George Burns had a happy marriage that lasted until she died. Lucy looked tired and haggard as the years of I Love Lucy wore on. She did not have a facelift for a long time due to her delicate and pale, skinny skin. The position lighting helped (Karl Freund was an acknowledged genius) but, in any candid photos of that time, you can see the years on Lucy's encounter. She was qualified to maintain a facade of youth while playing Lucy Ricardo but not Lucille Ball.
Desi was an alcoholic, a gambler, a womanizer and a genius. He worked miracles with Desilu and even bought RKO studios in 1957! Bu
Inside Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s tempestuous, sex-crazed marriage
When Desi Arnaz first set eyes on Lucille Ball in the commissary of RKO Pictures in Hollywood in early 1940, it was not an auspicious beginning to their relationship.
The Cuban bandleader-turned-fledgling player made a derogatory remark about the then-B-movie actress’ appearance. “He wasn’t impressed at all, calling her a ’10-cent whore,’ a ‘p–a’ — the Spanish synonyms for prostitute,” author Darwin Porter told The Post, noting that the 28-year-old Ball, five years older than Arnaz, was dressed for a role as a cheap burlesque dancer in the film “Dance, Girl, Dance” with Maureen O’Hara.
Later that night, Ball re-emerged in a more elegant yellow sweater, beige pants and heels, with her hair perfectly set.
“Their love affair began immediately,” added Porter, whose new book with co-author Danforth Prince, “The Sad & Tragic Ending of Lucille Ball: Volume 2,” is out Tuesday.
Still, the couple — who a decade later would become immortalized as the wholesome Ricardos in the groundbreaking sitcom “I Affection Lucy” — con
