Alberoni beach is a gay friendly beach in Lido di Venezia, quiet, calm, pure like its sea, and is described as a “gentle, peaceful and cheap” beach. The beach also becomes a winter destination, for gay encounters or nocturnal love escapes. It has many sand dunes and is very popular, both from Veneto and tourists! The Alberoni beach at the Lido of Venice is also where the famous director Luchino Visconti rebuilt the beach of Des Bains for his famous film “Death in Venice”, based on the famous novel by Thomas Mann.
How to receive to the Alberoni gay beach? From the boat stop at Lido di Venezia take the bus line B to Alberoni and get off at the terminus (beware, some buses depart to the lighthouse: ask the driver). You enter the pine forest and head towards the sea. The gay friendly and naturist area is to the right of the main entrance to the beach, above and behind the dunes, near the military runway.
