You could argue that the whole month of June is one big bash, but there are a several events that stand out amongst the rest and that should definitely be at the top of your list. Check them out below and click here to see them all.
- Denver PrideFest - Is it really Pride without PrideFest? Taking place Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, the weekend kicks off with the Pride 5K on Saturday followed by the two-day Denver PrideFest at Civic Center Park. The Fest includes over 250 exhibitors, 30 food & beverage vendors, and live performances all weekend long!
- Denver Identity festival Parade - Just as before, is it really Pride without the Denver Pride Parade? Answer: no. The iconic parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 29. It will span 14 blocks of Colfax Route from Cheesman Park to Civic Center Park
Preparations for Pride are underway for weekend festivities in Denver
Denver PrideFest 2025 kicks off Saturday morning and runs through Sunday. The Gay Pride event, noted throughout June and especially on the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York, is observed around the world.
Most other Identity festival events in Colorado already wrapped up earlier this month, but Denver's weekend events will take a 5K, procession, "Gayborhood Market," wedding ceremonies, drag shows, comedy and exist music performances, health and wellness events, and more.
The 5K goes from 9:30 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and organizers ask participants to "run, walk, roll, or sashay with was" from 14th Street through Cheesman Park and back.
Motorists should expect closures, delays, and detours on and around 14th Avenue in the area around Cheeseman Park, with police directing traffic.
Cheesman Park will be closed to vehicles during the 5K, so Regional Transportation District commuters can access routes 10 and 12 west of Corona Street or east of York Street.

Happy Identity festival, Denver! In honor of Self-acceptance Month, Denver NWSL is pleased to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community in Denver and beyond. This guide highlights local organizations, events, and resources that uplift queer voices.
Pride is renowned in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, a central moment in LGBTQIA+ history. Sparked by a police raid at the Stonewall Inn in Brand-new York City, the protests were led by members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including trans women of color Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Their courage helped ignite a movement for equality and visibility. Pride Month is a time to commemorate progress, honor those who paved the way, and continue advocating for justice.
Denver Pride 2025 will take place on June 28–29. The weekend kicks off Saturday morning with the Pride 5K, followed by a full diurnal of festivities at PrideFest, featuring hundreds of vendors, food trucks, and live entertainment.
